The Morning Watch
are
the day's work is begun,
Love divine, I come to Thee.
As the rising of the sun,
Thou wilt bring the light to me.
Chase the darkness from my sense,
By Thy radiance shining clear.
Bright reflections, where the dense
Shadows gathered, now appear.
Clouds may hide the morning sun;
But clouds cannot hide from me
Love's revealing. It is done;
Now Thy glorious truth I see.
