A Childlike Thought
Where'er
a childlike thought may be,
Trust, innocence, or love,
Tis there Christ's presence will abound
In wisdom from above.
The wisdom of the world is vain,
From fear brings no release;
But that which comes from trusting God
Is gentle, pure, at peace.
As children clasp the strong, firm hand
Of someone they hold dear,
And straightway feel a safety sure
Which overcomes each fear,
So may each fearful heart today
That would Christ's presence prove,
Pray for a childlike faith and trust,
And clasp the hand of Love;
Walk with the Father-Mother God,
Safe in His tender care;
Trust in His power omnipotent;
For Him the heart prepare.
