In gratitude for the many blessings that have come to me and mine through the study and application of Christian Science, and with a desire to help others as I have been helped, I offer this testimony.

Through successive years of unfoldment in the study of Christian Science, and through membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, I have obtained a belter concept of God and a clearer understanding of His laws; in fact, I have learned that what are so commonly referred to in the Bible as God's promises are in reality His laws. And since they are God's laws, they are fixed laws, which never change; they can never be amended, repealed, or annulled; and they are as much in force today as they were in the time of Jesus.

With a demonstrable understanding of God's law, Mrs. Eddy was able to say in her textbook, Science and Health (p. 14). "Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual.—neither in nor of matter,—and the body will then utter no complaints." Eight years ago I contracted double pneumonia, and while approaching what appeared to those near me to be the end of my earthly existence, I was able to attain this blessed state of spiritual consciousness, and a wonderful thing occurred—I was healed! A great calm, the first I had known for eight days, came over me, and I knew that I was well.
