It is a great joy to acknowledge that I have been immeasurably blessed by Christian Science. It has healed me of chronic ulcerated throat; of dry eczema; of defective sight, which a specialist considered so serious that he told me I must never work; of the extreme fear of cold weather; and of many minor ailments.

On page 265 of Science and Health our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, tells us. "Mortals must gravitate Godward, their affections and aims grow spiritual,—they must near the broader interpretations of being, and gain some proper sense of the infinite,—in order that sin and mortality may be put off." I am most grateful that, in addition to these physical healings, Christian Science has shown me how to draw near to God and, in some degree, to spiritualize my ambitions and affections.

Mrs. Eddy's statement (ibid., p. 31). "Jesus acknowledged no ties of the flesh," together with the help of a practitioner, healed me of false responsibility, which had burdened me for years, and enabled me soon afterwards to take up work of a compassionate and satisfying nature.
