Christian Science first interested...
Christian Science first interested me when I was suffering from mental derangement. I suffered untold agony from self-imposed mesmerism, manifested in bashfulness, envy, hatred, jealousy, nervousness, revenge, self-consciousness, superstition, suspicion, and timidity. I am grateful to acknowledge that through Christian Science all these false characteristics have been almost completely eradicated, and spiritual peace, joy, and contentment have taken their place. I have also learned, to some degree, the unreality of all fear. This has enabled me to overcome many difficulties where moral courage was most needed.
I have seen strained human relationships become harmonious through the application of Christian Science. Needless to say, this resulted in much rejoicing on the part of all concerned.
Some years ago I was stricken with a heart trouble which was pronounced incurable by many physicians. Indeed, this condition seemed hopeless to me, but I soon purchased "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy and began trying to apply what I had read. In about two weeks the heart trouble completely left me, and it has not returned. I am very grateful for this healing and for many others.
