The Unmistakable Proofs of Christian Science

To a large and growing number of people in many countries, healing through Christian Science is now a very familiar phenomenon. They have seen it occur again and again for themselves and others, until, without losing any of their appreciation of it or of what is required to accomplish it, they have come to take it as a matter of course. They see that it follows naturally from the observance of certain scientific rules. Many other people, however, it must be granted, have not yet witnessed such healing, or had any direct knowledge of it. It is hardly to be expected that they would believe in it.

But what if one of these, a physician, say, or a minister of the gospel, or one troubled with disease or some other distress, set out to see for himself what merit there is in this relatively new and yet widely established curative and redemptive system? What would he find? What would be the quality of the evidences he would encounter?

It is by no means an overstatement to say that the evidences are no less conclusive than those by which the world has been convinced of the practicability of aviation, for example—and of many another material wonder which formerly would have seemed incredible. The evidences of the direct availability of the power of God, Spirit, in human affairs, as revealed in Christian Science, are of a sort to satisfy altogether any impartial investigator; and they have been found so by not a few physicians, ministers, and natural scientists, to say nothing of multitudes of others. The evidences, moreover, are abundant, as is indicated by the testimonies continually published in the Christian Science periodicals, and the great number given weekly at the Wednesday meetings in Christian Science churches.
