Sunday School
Each Christian Science branch church has been organized by those who have been healed or helped in some way through Christian Science. Their desire has been that through the church activities this teaching may reach others who are longing, as they once did, for the truth which brings freedom and healing from various forms of sickness and distress. The church activities include many ways in which to benefit mankind, and one of these is through the Sunday school.
Pupils come to the Christian Science Sunday School from homes where there is a desire on the part of someone that they may be taught the value of spiritual things. Their parents and guardians desire that they shall be taught the truth in Christian Science, and learn how to practice it in daily living, thereby finding the blessings of health, joy, purity, peace, and satisfaction.
Many pupils in our Sunday school today will, in a few years, become active members of Christian Science churches, carrying forward the truth revealed to Mrs. Eddy and given to the world in her writings. We know that those who are taught to think correctly will become right workers, and the mission of the Sunday school is to prepare the pupils for the tasks which lie ahead.
