It is my desire to share my testimony with those who have shared theirs with me for many years. Many healings and blessings have been experienced in our home, although Christian Science was not at first sought for healing, but for an understanding of the Bible and to know God.

From childhood I was a victim of colds in a very serious form. During the time I was employed, I had to remain at home for a few days with each attack. Gradually, as I continued to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, the attacks became less and finally ceased. I was also healed of an internal disorder of many years' standing. At one time this appeared in a very alarming form. I went to a practitioner, and through her few loving words, and statements of Truth, fear was dispelled. In two treatments I was entirely free.

My husband had what is commonly known as "barber's itch." For three weeks he tried everything that materia medica could offer. The condition was so severe that he did not wish to be seen. He then agreed to accept Christian Science treatment, and visited a practitioner. She gave him a present treatment and two absent treatments, and he was healed. The result was as if a mask had been removed. The same week he was able to attend a Christian Science lecture in perfect comfort. An instantaneous healing of an infected eye came to him. My mother-in-law had an attack of paralysis of the right side. The doctor made a number of calls, and finally said he could do nothing more. Then a member of the family asked for Christian Science treatment for her. At this time I was a very young student, but felt convinced of the efficacy of the Christ-healing. The practitioner was called the following morning and remained with my mother-in-law for a few hours. As soon as she left, the patient wanted to be helped up; and, with some assistance, she walked. From then on, progress was made each day. In three months she was able to make two trips across the country alone, and became useful in doing her household duties as before. These are just a few of the many healings that have come to me and mine through the study of Christian Science.
