I am very grateful for Christian Science...
I am very grateful for Christian Science and for having known of it nearly all my life. After I grew older I did not study or apply it unless a physical problem presented itself. I soon came to my extremity, and since "man's extremity is God's opportunity," I turned wholly to Science, attended services, and became a member of The Mother Church.
My children and I have received many healings through relying on Truth, some by our own ability to prove it, others through the help of practitioners or friends. Headaches have been healed, sometimes instantaneously, and ruptures have been healed. In one case a physician said that an operation was necessary, but the only operation that took place was that of Truth.
A child's arm was caught in an electric wringer and severely injured. I worked, as we are taught in Christian Science, but after two hours I realized he needed help from a practitioner. I put in my call to her, and when I returned to the child he was resting calmly. In a few days there was no evidence of the accident at all.
