Individuality—a Spiritual Entity

Employers of large business organizations, when selecting college graduates for enrollment with their staffs are making foremost demands for young persons with records of loyalty, poise, perseverance, and a sense of responsibility, whereas formerly more emphasis was put on employing those possessing outstanding talents and sports records. Good character is being sought. So-called personality is thus not regarded as the highroad to success. Nor is mere popularity necessarily considered as an essential factor in business. Superficiality is undoubtedly giving place to the recognition of more enduring qualities, qualities which will measure up properly according to moral standards. This illustrates the call to men and women to have a standard by which to test the soundness of those traits of character which they may or my not exhibit.

Christian Science is establishing the faultless standard which is needed to help mankind. It teaches that God is the one all-inclusive, perfect creator, who is reflected by man, and that God, divine Life, includes within Himself infinite individuality.

God's creation contains an infinitude of spiritual ideas. God has a purpose for every one of His ideas, and each has a place in the plan of which Love maintains the fulfillment. None can be outside the orbit of Love's directing. In spiritual being all is under the government of divine Love, and God gives to each idea every quality necessary for its complete expression.
