Through the help of consecrated...

Through the help of consecrated practitioners and also my own understanding. I have been able to overcome much. These practitioners gave a great deal of their time and proved very unselfish in helping me through rough places, and I feel that I can never be grateful enough for their help. If I can just in a small way be like them, so that I too may attract others to Christian Science, I shall be very happy.

According to a medical diagnosis, which I had for the purpose of settling an insurance claim for an automobile accident, my case was a severe one of nerves. I also suffered from headaches, due to low blood pressure; and from a skin irritation around the eyes, ears, and back of the head. The healings were slow, but I had proved God's allness many times, and knew that I should be protected all the way through; and I am grateful to say I am free.

At one time I fell off a porch, five steps high. I tried to catch myself by my heels, but they were both pulled off and I fell with force on the hard ground. I did not lose consciousness, and when suggestions were made to take me to a hospital, I was able to ask for Christian Science help. I could hardly bear being moved, the pain was so severe in my shoulder, hip, and back. Much love was shown me in that home, where there was a large family who were not Christian Scientists. In four days I was able to be driven to my own home, and in five weeks returned to my place of business. During that period I did not lose any time from my work, which consisted in copying music. It was sent to me at my home and I finished it all, knowing that I was able to do what was necessary for me to do, because God knew nothing of accidents. I am very grateful for the help received at this time, for to mortal sense I was helpless.
