Impartiality
Impartiality is the eternal equilibrium of Mind; it is judgment and justice made manifest in every law of multiplication and production. It is inherent in dominion which is power; it is arbiter, because it is an expression of Love.
How clearly Jesus showed that those who have discerned the jurisdiction of Truth in their lives will be directed to express justice in human affairs! In Luke we read, "And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say." And he adds, "For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say." And in the next moment he dismissed one who sought his interference in some merely personal decision which had involved a dispute between his brother and himself. "Man," he asked, "who made me a judge or a divider over you?"
Impartiality is not the result of weighing one human equation with another. Men will obtain and preserve human justice, merciful and compassionate, for themselves and for others, without penalties, without recriminations, as they abandon the prejudices, the egotisms, of self-love and consistently let the Holy Ghost teach them.
