Fortification against Invasion
While supporting the necessary preparations which are under way for protecting our cities against enemy invasion, the Christian Scientist knows that he must develop those spiritual qualities which will truly fortify him in time of stress.
Even from the human standpoint, who does not wish to be brave instead of cowardly, firm instead of trembling, poised rather than bewildered, helpful to the helpless? But spiritually mental fortitude is acquired by understanding the omnipotence of God, Life, Mind, Principle, and the spiritual, unassailable nature of man as God's image.
To invincible Life, God, reflected by immortal man, there is no material force. Divine Principle embraces in its beneficent influence the universe and man. Unerring Mind, the only Mind, holds man, as His inseparable idea, in eternal equanimity.
