I desire to share some of the...
I desire to share some of the many blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.
From early childhood I was seeking what I learned years later was the truth. I was brought up in an orthodox church and was taught that God made man from the dust of the ground. I was never satisfied with the explanations offered about God and man and never believed or accepted this material man of dust. The spiritual significance of the Bible was made clear only after I became a student of Christian Science.
For many years I was always under bondage to some disease, and took a great deal of medicine. As a result of an accident which caused internal injuries and a broken ankle, when I was a young woman, I had to undergo several operations. One operation was an attempt to stop internal hemorrhages, which occurred at intervals for more than a year. For four years after the accident I had attacks of nervousness which caused me to be helpless and in bed for two days after each attack. The many doctors called on these occasions had no name for this except "a form of nervousness," and they had no cure.
