The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Sacramento, California
(Third Church).
Lecturer: Paul Stark Seeley; introduced by Mrs. Mary Chapman, who said:—
It was while listening to a lecture, given over thirty years ago, that I first heard the truth about Christian Science; and while I did not comprehend all that the lecturer said, nevertheless I was convinced that here was a religion whose help I greatly needed. Having been ill since childhood, and subject to many chronic ailments, this lecture gave me courage, and soon thereafter an earnest study of Christian Science was begun, with the result that I was completely healed.
Since then study of Christian Science has been a daily inspiration, and for many years our immediate family has relied completely on God for our health, supply, and peace of mind.
Each lecture brings new inspiration and courage, and I sincerely hope that, as you listen with open mind, this lecture tonight will be as fruitful for you as my first lecture continues to be to me.
