"Capable of more than we do"

On page 89 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes, "We are all capable of more than we do." At the present time young people, as well as their elders, are called upon to prove the validity of this statement and are finding that it is true.

Some young men engaged in defense work are working long hours overtime and are taking college courses as well. Humanly considered, this might seem to bring a sense of strain; but as students of Christian Science, they are learning and proving that with divine aid all that it is right for them to do, is possible.

Through pondering the truths revealed in the Bible and Mrs. Eddy's works we realize that endurance and strength do not depend upon matter or material conditions, but are gained through spiritual understanding.
