Orleans and Brewster, Massachusetts (Society).—A brief history of Christian Science Society of Orleans and Brewster was read by the First Reader at the dedication services which were held in the morning and afternoon of March 8, 1942, in the new church building in Brewster.

Following a period of about twenty years of informal Sunday services in private homes, regular services were started in 1924. A piece of ground was purchased for building in 1927, when services had outgrown private homes and were held in the Orleans Town Hall.

Recognition as Christian Science Society, Orleans, Massachusetts, was given by The Mother Church of Boston in 1929, and a building fund was started.
