An interesting account has been received from Great Britain concerning the experience of a Christian Scientist who is an officer in the Air Force. On one occasion his machine was caught in a balloon barrage over an urban district, and, humanly speaking, it seemed impossible to escape from it. Suddenly the machine gave a great lurch. Just as this happened, the radio in the cabin started to function and he heard these words quite distinctly: "Man's life is indestructible in God." This sentence appeared to be part of a lecture which was being broadcast from the United States. The outcome was that the machine got quite clear of the balloon cables, and the officer was able to make a safe landing. The radio continued to transmit the lecture, which was also heard by the others in the machine, during the rest of the flight.

Many times has the truth of the Psalmist's words been proved, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" (Psalms 46:1). No matter where one may be or by what dangers apparently surrounded, the spiritual idea which brings release is at hand, and is available in proportion as one's thought is open to it.
