In our home we have had many healings through Christian Science, such as those of constipation, sprained ankles, catarrh of the head, rheumatism of the feet and back, and toothache; and with the loving help of a practitioner I was able to overcome a great sense of grief when a dear one passed on, and was able to do the many things that needed to be done.

I was brought up by Christian parents. About twelve years ago kind relatives, seeing my need, asked my husband and me to attend a lecture on Christian Science. There I learned that God is everywhere and all-power. This led me to want to know more of Truth, for, as the lecturer quoted, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

I am grateful for God, our Father-Mother; for Christ Jesus, our Way-shower; for Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science; for the practitioners, who always are loving and willing to help at any time, and for The Christian Science Board of Directors. I am deeply grateful that "the Bible and the Christian Science textbook are our only preachers" (Explanatory Note in the Christian Science Quarterly). I have had great inspiration through knowing that all Christian Science students, wherever located, are studying the same Lesson-Sermon each week, and that no matter how remote we are from other Scientist, church services, or Reading Rooms, we can still study the Lesson-Sermons daily.
