Lecturer: Gavin W. Allan; introduced by Mrs. Hettie I. Parrish, who said:—

Many years ago a little girl sat listening to her mother reading from the Bible some of the beautiful healings wrought by Jesus. The child then asked, "Why can we not heal as Jesus did?" No satisfactory answer could be given her, and she grew to womanhood, longing for spiritual light, but finding darkness, discouragement, and suffering. Then the dear mother was stricken with a so-called incurable disease. Christian Science was presented to her, and she found not only healing, but also the answer to the question asked her years before. She could now say to her daughter: "I have found the way. Christ Jesus' healings were demonstrations of the truth about God and His idea, man. In 'Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures' Mary Baker Eddy makes plain the law of God and its application to the needs of mankind so that each one may prove his dominion over error of every sort."
