The Lectures
Introductions to Lectures
Oak Park, Illinois (First Church).
Lecturer: Dr. Hendrik J. de Lange; introduced by Albert C. Moon, who said:—
Christ Jesus has been revered for nineteen centuries because he was, to use his own words, "a man that hath told you the truth." The mission of Christian Science today is to tell us the truth. A Christian Science lecture presents the truth about God, man, and the universe. This presentation includes the information as to how the truth may be learned and how it may be utilized as a corrective in human affairs; that is, how the effects of false beliefs about God and His creation, namely, sin, sickness, war, and lack, may be replaced in this present human experience by sinlessness, health, peace, and abundance, which are the effects of understanding the divine facts about God and His creation.
