I am a student of Christian Science because I witnessed undeniable proofs that it worked, and afterward I learned to prove it for myself. The reason why there are Christian Science churches and Christian Scientists in all parts of the world is that Christian Science heals.

It was first brought to my attention more than twenty years ago, while I was living in the home of a sister. Her husband had had such a wonderful healing through Christian Science of periodic drunkenness that he did not seem like the same man. While greatly impressed by this seeming miracle, I was not ready to take up the study of Christian Science until some months later. Then I was healed overnight of very painful hemorrhoids, which a doctor had advised would require an operation. Eager to know how I was healed, I visited the practitioner who had treated me, and he so inspired me with the desire to know more about God and the real man that I have studied Christian Science persistently ever since.

My blessings have so multiplied in that time that space would not permit the enumeration of them. Through my study, selfishness is giving place to unselfishness, material-mindedness to spirituality, impurity to purity, fear and uncertainty of the future to security and joy, and ill-health to health. A happy home and wider spheres of usefulness have been realized. My wife and two sons are stanch students of Christian Science. Membership in The Mother Church and branch churches has given me protection and growth, as well as opportunities to serve.
