"The scientific way"

Persons who know little of Christian Science sometimes question sincerely whether healings which have occurred under Christian Science treatment were actually accomplished by this Science. They ask if it is certain that the troubles corrected were what they seemed—if indeed it is possible for physical disease to be healed by spiritual means.

The testimonies continually appearing in the Christian Science periodicals furnish a satisfying answer to such questions. The conditions reported healed, in these carefully verified testimonies, have not infrequently been fully diagnosed and pronounced incurable by physicians; and other circumstances set forth in the testimonies, and the manner of their presentation, are no less convincing to the impartial reader.

But what of the student of this Science, and especially of one who has been healed? What is his impression? Does he know that spiritual power has healed him? If so, how does he know?
