Many have been the blessings and healings that have come to me through the application of the truths revealed to us in Christian Science.

My first healing was in 1910, when the doctors were preparing me for an operation for ulcers of the stomach. The afternoon that arrangements had been made for me to go to the hospital, I turned to Christian Science, and through the loving help of a brother-in-law, who was a Christian Science practitioner, the condition was entirely healed. Within an hour I was completely free, and was able to return to my normal activities the next day.

Hat fever, continuous headache, severe colds, sore throat, and constipation have all been healed. I was divinely protected in a serious automobile accident. The car went to the bottom of a three-hundred-foot canyon, turning over five times. I received only a very small cut on the head. Realizing that I was going over the precipice, I said aloud, "God is here," and I can truthfully say I had not one moment's sense of fear. I was conscious every moment and was calmly sitting down on a bank when help came. The car was completely destroyed.
