I wish to add my testimony of the many healings and blessings received in our home during the past twenty years through reliance on God as taught in Christian Science.

Recently I was healed of a broken leg. After being struck by an automobile, I was taken to a hospital unconscious, and became aware of my surroundings about an hour and a half later. X-ray pictures showed that the tibia or larger bone of the left leg was broken above the ankle, and a statement was made that it would be necessary for me to stay in the hospital for six to eight weeks. Upon my regaining consciousness, my family was called, and work taken up immediately in Christian Science. The following day the bone was set and the leg put in a cast, and at four o'clock I was taken home, although nurses and doctor protested. The statement was made that a specific period was required before the cast could be removed. The realization came to me, however, that I must not accept a human or medical law; that God's law should and did come first. I had many times declared, in the words of Hymn No. 134 in the Christian Science Hymnal, "Held in Thy law, I stand." Before the allotted time was up I removed the cast myself and used the leg, walking with the aid of a cane or crutch. Within a short time these, too, were discarded, and the leg has been normal ever since. For this healing I am very grateful.

The time spent at home while I was working out the difficulty was an opportunity for deeper study and further pondering of the truths of Christian Science as taught during class instruction, and for the privilege of this instruction I am also deeply grateful.
