Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

It is gratifying to report that no criticisms of Christian Science appeared in the newspapers of this state during the past twelve months. There was an increasing number of reprints from The Christian Science Monitor, with due credit given.

A personal call was made on a pastor of a large church in Florida, who was reported to have made unkind remarks in a sermon about Christian Science. A copy of our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, was supplied to him. Later he expressed his thanks for it. He stated that he had read the textbook through and had received many illuminating thoughts from it. Some weeks later, one who attends his church commented that the minister was preaching differently, preaching about Life instead of death, and about Love in a way that made it almost certain that he must have a copy of Science and Health.

A criticism of Christian Science was published in a religious magazine of this state. A correction was sent to the editor, and, although it was not printed, we feel that much good was accomplished in establishing a friendly relation with the editor, and a promise was received from him that no article which was critical of Christian Science would again be published in this magazine so long as he remained the editor.
