"They that be with us"
THERE is now and always will be an abundant, limitless supply of good available for all. The only reason why this fact is not more evident is that mankind generally has mistaken the true nature of substance, supposing it to be matter. Yet centuries ago substance was proved by prophets, and conclusively by Jesus, to be Spirit. They demonstrated by what are called miracles the presence and power of Spirit, God, and proved good to be the normal state of man.
The Christian Scientist should not be disturbed by dark forebodings, knowing that spiritual law is ever present and effective to destroy the supposititious forces of evil, and that true substance is spiritual and indestructible. The truths revealed in the Bible and the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, when understood, give confidence in the supremacy of good. On page 186 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mrs. Eddy writes: "The only power of evil is to destroy itself. It can never destroy one iota of good."
Christianity, as taught by Christ Jesus, furthers the progress of mankind in the spiritual liberation of the human mind. And the Master declared, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."
