The aims and the methods of Christian Scientists have...
Cri de Paris
The aims and the methods of Christian Scientists have often been incorrectly interpreted.
The Christian Science movement is strictly a religious movement, and does not take part in any political activity, but Christian Scientists are nevertheless convinced that spiritual sense impels us to do what is right and not to consider mainly what is advantageous materially.
For every Christian Scientist, for every Christian, indeed, peace can be found only as right and law are respected. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, said (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 281), "War will end when nations are ripe for progress." Christian Science is occupied in hastening this spiritual progress.
