In the year 1918, I spent a month's holiday with some students of Christian Science. I soon realized that they had something I had not—a religion which I saw meant everything to them. I determined to do my utmost to understand this religion too. Therefore I asked questions until I glimpsed something of Christian Science.

When one of the students saw I was in earnest, she lent me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and while reading the chapter entitled "Prayer," I was completely healed of constipation and hemorrhoids, the former of many years' standing.

I can never be grateful enough to those friends and to Mrs. Eddy, whose spirituality enabled her fully to perceive and explain the truth about God and man which Christ Jesus taught and practiced.
