I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the many blessings I have received through Christian Science. While I did not take up the study of it for physical healing, I was sick both physically and mentally.

My brother passed on suddenly with influenza. Up to this time my religion had sustained me. I had a blind faith in God, and I felt that in some way He would help me. I prayed that I might get some light. This light came through Christian Science, which is truly the Comforter which Jesus promised. I was not only healed of grief for my brother but, several years later, I was instantaneously healed of grief at the passing on of my husband. My concept of God as "afar off" was changed to a concept of God as ever-present divine Love, who does not send sorrow or sickness to His children. After I had studied the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, for several months, my physical condition gradually changed to one of better health than I had ever known, for I had always been considered very frail.
