Your appreciative reference to the beneficial influence...

Spectator

Your appreciative reference to the beneficial influence of Christian Science has been noted with gratification by a great many of your readers, and I wish to thank you for it. In the interesting article published recently you say that "many find in religious cults, such as Christian Science, an inspiration founded on service."

To attach the word "cult" to Christian Science might create a wrong impression in the minds of some people regarding this teaching.

Christian Science is divine law and is therefore here for all time. Christian Science is defined by its Discoverer and Founder, Mary Baker Eddy, as "the law of God, the law of good, interpreting and demonstrating the divine Principle and rule of universal harmony" (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 1).
