Unfailing Supply

IN the light of Christian Science, our thought turns with increased gratitude to the Giver of all good for His bountiful provision for His children, and to our revered Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, for her revelation of the spiritual nature of true substance.

Misapprehension of the nature of man and his divine heritage is the cause of much anxious concern regarding one's well-being. Through false education and beliefs of materiality, mankind loses sight of God's loving care, protection, and spiritual gifts of love, joy, courage, and enriching good. The beloved Way-shower, Christ Jesus, in his teachings, revealed Spirit as God, the only Life, and bade his followers refrain from solicitude concerning material things, for man's true being is spiritual, not material.

Through the study of Christian Science, which is based upon the Bible, we learn that God, Mind, Spirit, is the only substance; and man, His image and likeness, reflects the divine Mind in spiritual ideas of abundance, activity, energy, co-operation, encouragement, benevolence, and the like. Through right or true thinking, all good is available. Mrs. Eddy clearly and succinctly says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 307), "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies." She further says in the same paragraph, "Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment." What a comforting assurance this is to the troubled, discouraged one!
