Christian Science is based upon the Bible, and is a demonstrable religion. The first of its six Tenets reads (Church Manual, pp. 15, 16), "As adherents of Truth, we take the inspired Word of the Bible as our sufficient guide to eternal Life;" and the sixth, "And we solemnly promise to watch, and pray for that Mind to be in us which was also in Christ Jesus; to do unto others as we would have them do unto us; and to be merciful, just, and pure."

For authentic information regarding this religion our critic is directed to the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. This book, together with a number of other writings by the same author, is available at public libraries and at all Christian Science Reading Rooms. One hundred pages of authenticated testimonies, recording healings of all manner of distempers, both physical and mental, simply as a result of reading the book, form the last chapter contained in Science and Health.

Jesus cast out devils (evils) and healed the sick without the use of drugs. The whole aim of Mrs. Eddy's teachings is to glorify God, Spirit, as the one and only cause, as may be seen by a thorough and intelligent investigation of the teachings of Christian Science.
