Listening to God

CHRISTIAN SCIENCE is doing much for mankind today. Why? Because students of this Science are learning to listen to the "still small voice" of Truth. Many of them, before they go about their business or household duties, find time to study the Bible Lesson in the Christian Science Quarterly; and this helps them to listen to God's Word. Thus they can surmount mountains of difficulties, knowing that they are God-equipped. By right thinking and right doing, the result of right listening, they progress toward the kingdom of righteousness.

When properly applied, Christian Science will cure unemployment, and bring relief from sorrow, lack, or any other trouble, be it sickness or sin. It lifts men's thoughts Spirit-ward, bringing them into line with divine Love, which heals and saves.

Our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, listened to the voice of Truth. It enabled her to overcome mountains of opposition and deceit. She marched calmly on, listening to the voice of God. In our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 323), she says: "The effects of Christian Science are not so much seen as felt. It is the 'still, small voice' of Truth uttering itself. We are either turning away from this utterance, or we are listening to it and going up higher."
