Twenty-five years ago a member of my family was healed of stomach trouble by Christian Science. Then I began reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, to find out what Christian Science is. While doing so I was healed of varicose veins, after I had had to wear an elastic stocking from my toes to my hip, being unable to take a step without it.

When my youngest daughter was eight years of age, she was healed overnight of infantile paralysis, and attended Sunday school the following morning. We have also had instantaneous healings for the children of smallpox and scarlet fever, and for myself of sprained ankle.

One morning, while I was cleaning out the flue in the furnace by lighting papers and putting them in, the papers blew back in my face. I fought them off with my hands, realizing as I did so the ever-presence of God. I was freed without even "the smell of fire" on me or a hair being singed. For this I am indeed grateful; also for membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church; for class instruction; for having a small part in this great Cause, and for the privilege of being a guest at one of the Sanatoriums of The Christian Science Benevolent Association.
