For the past thirteen years Christian Science has been to me as a light shining in great darkness, giving me strength and courage to go forward in spite of seemingly overwhelming odds. During this time I have had many proofs of God's loving care in providing for all our needs. I have experienced many physical healings, one of which I should like to relate.

I had been studying Christian Science for about twelve months when a tiny mark appeared on my leg a little way up from the ankle. In a very short time it became so painful, spreading in such an alarming manner, that I sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner. Continuous treatment was very lovingly given to me for some months, and thereafter I had occasional help over a long period.

During this time I received much relief from pain and, with a few exceptions, I was able to continue my work, which at that time necessitated my being constantly on my feet. Still the condition was not healed, and so serious was it becoming that members of my family, not interested in Christian Science, expressed great fear. Once more I sought Christian Science treatment, and with the patient, loving help of a practitioner I had the joy of seeing the healing take place. It was not until some months later that I was entirely free. It is now eight years since this healing took place, and there has been no return of the trouble. The scar has almost disappeared, and the leg has practically regained its normal shape.
