I would thank you for space to correct a reference to "leaders" of Christian Science churches in a recent article. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, will forever be the Leader of the Christian Science movement. The revelation of Truth which came to her from God has been given to the world in her inspired writings, one of which is the Manual of The Mother Church, which contains Rules and By-laws for the government of The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston. The Manual also gives certain Rules for the branch churches of The Mother Church, which are "distinctly democratic" (p. 74), and Rules for the members of The Mother Church.

In the Manual (Art. XXIII, Sect. 1), under the heading, "Local Self-government," is written: "The Mother Church of Christ, Scientist, shall assume no general official control of other churches, and it shall be controlled by none other. Each Church of Christ, Scientist, shall have its own form of government."
