Annual Meeting of The Mother Church

Many members of The Mother Church attended the Annual Meeting on June 3, and listened appreciatively to the various addresses and reports which were read. In their address The Christian Science Board of Directors voiced their profound gratitude "for the loyalty which the Field expresses to our Leader and to her movement," and stated that they were "particularly mindful of the strength, courage, and sacrifice of the Christian Scientists across the sea," to whom their hearts went out "in understanding love and support."

The meeting was opened with the singing of Hymn No. 30, "Brood o'er us with Thy shelt'ring wing," the words of which were written by our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. The First Reader of The Mother Church, Harry C. Browne, then read the following passages from the Bible, with correlative passages from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy:

The Bible
Luke 21:5–7, 10, 25, 26, 28
