"Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy." Christian Science has redeemed me "from the hand of the enemy"—even "the last enemy"—not only once but twice.

More than twenty years ago I was healed of tuberculosis, after other means had failed. I knew nothing of Christian Science, but I had two small children and a boy of twelve, and I wanted to live for their sakes, so I turned to it as a last resort, and obtained a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

The first Christian Science treatment I had healed me of pain and the sleepless nights which I had so long endured. I had very few treatments, but went on by myself reading, studying, and putting into practice what I had learned, as well as I could.
