Your correspondent, "O Ye of Little Faith," asks, What is the difference between Christian Science and popular Christianity? Let me briefly state what Christian Science is and what it teaches.

Christian Science gives a demonstrable understanding of the Christ. It reinstates primitive Christianity. It preaches again the gospel announced by Christ Jesus, The kingdom of God is at hand—within you; that is, here and now to be understood and realized, not postponed to some far-off period.

The signs of that divine government are the same today as when our Lord healed the sick, cleansed the leper, gave sight to the blind, and raised the dead.

The practical value of Christian Science, despite all opposition, is being proved by those who study its teaching and obey its rules; and thus Christ Jesus' mission is being continued in its completeness.
