I wish to express my gratitude for the protection and...
I wish to express my gratitude for the protection and harmony I experienced on a trip I took to Europe in July, 1938. Because I went alone, fear and timidity had to be overcome. These beliefs had bound me so strongly that I had previously felt unable to go any distance alone. A practitioner helped me by telling me to go ahead with a right project, regardless of fear. I put this and many statements from the Bible and our Leader's writings into practice.
Christian Science has healed me of many ailments. Throat trouble was overcome by my reading the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and nervous exhaustion and stomach trouble were among other difficulties healed.
For class instruction and membership in The Mother Church and in a branch church, I wish to express my appreciation. I give thanks to God, to Christ Jesus, and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy. A line from one of our hymns comes to me very often,
"Henceforth my great concern shall be
To love and praise Thee more."
(Mrs.) Lavinia Eastman, New York, New York.
