For many years I had suffered with headaches and distress...
For many years I had suffered with headaches and distress in my back which seemed almost unbearable. Medicine had failed to help me, so an operation was suggested. At this time, a friend told me what Christian Science could do. Work was taken up for me by a Christian Science practitioner. The healing was slow; but as I look back on it all, I am grateful for the true foundation which was laid.
I am grateful for the physical healings, which have been many, but even greater are the peace and comfort which have come into my life through the study and application of this wonderful truth, which our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, after years of consecrated study, gave us.
I was healed of tonsillitis, which for several years had been a great discomfort. Sprained ankles were healed in two days, so that I could walk up and down stairs. Two outstanding healings which took place in my life were a real test for me: the first, learning the lesson of depending on God, instead of persons, for my supply and happiness; the second, the overcoming of grief at the passing on of a loved one in a faraway country. At first the shock seemed great; then the truth of Life eternal dawned on me—an awakening to the proof our Saviour gave of the indestructibility of life. A Christian Science practitioner lovingly helped me to gain the right understanding.
