Malay Mail,
In a recent issue containing a report of a lecture delivered in Kuala Lumpur, a reference was made to Christian Science which was not correct.
Far from promoting fantastic hallucinations, Christian Science dispels illusions and delusions of every name and nature, exchanging them for Christianly scientific realities and fulfilling the promise of Christ Jesus, "Ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."
We learn in Christian Science that God's gifts to man are universally and impartially available to all. Pride of self can have no place in the understanding which ascribes all power and wisdom to God. Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, says in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 354), "Experience shows that humility is the first step in Christian Science, wherein all is controlled, not by man or laws material, but by wisdom, Truth, and Love."
