Membership Announcement Schedule

As stated in the Clerk's Notice in this issue of the Sentinel, applications for membership in The Mother Church must now reach the Clerk of The Mother Church one month in advance of the date of admission, instead of two weeks as heretofore. This change necessitates a change in the recommendation contained in our statement in the Sentinel of April 1, 1939, concerning membership announcements to be read from the desks in branch churches. Instead, we now offer the following yearly schedule for making announcements for applications for membership in The Mother Church:

For June Admissions

February {One Sunday announcement
{One Wednesday announcement

March {Two Sunday announcements
{Two Wednesday announcements

April {Two Sunday announcements
{Two Wednesday announcements

For November Admissions

August {Two Sunday announcements
{Two Wednesday announcements

September {Two Sunday announcements
{Two Wednesday announcements

We recommend that this Item of Interest, together with the Item of Interest appearing in the Sentinel of January 6, 1940, be placed on file by the clerks and librarians of branch churches and societies for reference purposes.
