A Christian Science period in the Columbia West Coast...

A Christian Science period in the Columbia West Coast "Church of the Air" series was conducted from Station KOIN, Portland, Oregon, on Sunday morning, January 7, 1940, at eight o'clock, by Sherwood Kretsinger, Committee on Publication for Oregon. This program had the approval of The Christian Science Board of Directors. Mark Daniels, the soloist, was assisted by William Robinson Boone, organist.

Mr. Kretsinger opened the program by reading from the Bible as follows: Hebrews 12:1, 2, 5, 6, 12, 13; James 4:7, 8 (to;), 10; 1:2-6, 12-13, 22, 25; Romans 12:1, 2, 10-12, 19—21; Psalms 37:1—13; Exodus 14:13-15. Also from the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy: 514:10—19; 515:4—5; 426:8—9; 492:12—21; and from "Miscellaneous Writings" by the same author: 268:27-32 (Right); 340:5-10, 18-27; 361:17-23; 230:2-7, 14-21; 339:6-18.

The program continued with the solo, "O'er waiting harpstrings of the mind," the words of which were written by Mary Baker Eddy. Mr. Kretsinger then read an address substantially as follows:
