Christian Science has brought many blessings into my life, and I give this testimony as an expression of gratitude for all that it has done for me. I did not become interested in it for my own benefit, but for the sake of my husband, who was ill, and who was afterwards healed.

My first healing was of an infected finger. Later I was healed of influenza in two days, also of scrofula of the scalp, with the help of a practitioner. Sick headaches, which had troubled me for years, were gradually dispelled without any special work being done. The desire for tea and coffee left me, and I have not used either of these in the past four years. Much help has also been received in meeting business problems. Several months ago my right hand caught in the electric wringer. One of the knuckles of the forefinger was crushed before I could release it. The pain was intense, but I repeated "the scientific statement of being," as given on page 468 of our textbook, and other citations and verses from the Bible. The pain ceased somewhat, and I was able to finish my washing. There was a slight swelling and discoloration, which disappeared after some earnest studying.

I am indeed grateful to the dear friends who first told us of Christian Science and for their loyal, steadfast help through the first years of our study. I am grateful for much purification of my thinking in overcoming many faults of character, such as quick temper, impatience, resentment, and in making me more charitable in my thoughts of others. I am sincerely grateful to Mrs. Eddy for imparting such a clear understanding of the Bible, thus enabling me more fully to realize that "now are we the sons of God." I am grateful for the comfort and healing power of Truth at the time of my husband's passing on, over two years ago, and to the dear practitioner who so faithfully helped me many times.
