Spring Valley, New York (First Church).—First Church of Christ, Scientist, Spring Valley, dedicated its church building on Sunday, May 7, 1939, with morning and afternoon services. Dedication means that the church is entirely paid for, one of the rules of the Christian Science organization being that no church can be dedicated until all indebtedness is paid.

Christian Science Society, Spring Valley, was formed in July, 1918. Three years later, First Church of Christ, Scientist, Spring Valley, was incorporated. Growth in attendance at services necessitated larger quarters, and the site on which the church now stands was purchased. Building was started in 1924, and the cornerstone was laid on May 1. The first services were held in the new edifice on November 2, 1924.—Rockland County Leader.
