I became interested in Christian Science through a desire...

I became interested in Christian Science through a desire to help a friend who had a disease which doctors could neither diagnose nor alleviate. I know now that my own healing of tuberculosis was completed through my sincere desire to help him. I just awoke one day to the glorious realization that I was free from the ailment which had troubled me since childhood.

I should like to tell of a healing of stomach trouble. The condition had bothered me for some time, and finally I asked a practitioner for help. I kept on with my work, and on the third day that the practitioner was helping me I made an unnecessarily rude remark to a co-worker. I justified it to myself by saying, "Well, if my stomach did not make me so miserable I wouldn't be so irritable." At that very instant it was as though a voice beside me said, "If you weren't so irritable, your stomach wouldn't make you so miserable." I was healed instantly of the stomach trouble, and I have tried since to prove that a loving disposition or nature is part of my God-given heritage. I feel that I am succeeding in some small measure.

I have been beautifully healed of a fear of dentistry. I put off visiting a dentist until I could put it off no longer.
