I came into Christian Science with a serious problem to...
I came into Christian Science with a serious problem to be solved. Many other methods had failed to bring healing to a most discordant situation. Utterly discouraged, I turned in my extremity to God for aid. A loving practitioner, for whose consecrated and faithful work I shall be forever grateful, helped me through this difficulty with harmonious results. In a remarkably short time, the affairs which had seemed so hopelessly complicated became adjusted. This adjustment brought its blessing to all concerned, and was accomplished as human will gave way to the gracious and orderly government of divine Principle.
As the glorious truth was poured daily into my thought through the earnest study and application of Christian Science, physical healings, some of them unsought, came as added blessings, in accord with the Scripture, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Severe sinus infection disappeared quite normally and naturally. Colds, sore throat, and other ailments have yielded quickly.
One day, several years ago, I received such a clear vision of the oneness of God and man that I was instantly healed of the need of wearing glasses. Realizing, beyond any shadow of doubt, that nothing, certainly not a piece of glass, could separate God from His perfect idea, I became so absorbed in the prayerful contemplation of this that I forgot entirely about my glasses, and did not think of them again until perhaps a week later, at which time I realized with great joy that I had been healed. This healing has been permanent. Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 463), "A spiritual idea has not a single element of error, and this truth removes properly whatever is offensive."
