Too much space would be required for me to relate all...
Too much space would be required for me to relate all the wonderful things Christian Science has done for me and for the members of my family in the twelve years I have been studying it.
I was healed of the fear of infection from bites of mosquitoes. A valvular trouble, said to be incurable, was instantaneously healed; but I was not conscious of it at the time, until someone called my attention to the fact that there had been a change in me. This took place at the time Christian Science was presented to me. The effects of an automobile accident, which seemed quite serious to onlookers, were overcome very quickly with the help of a practitioner and a near-by friend; cuts, bruises, and crushed ribs were healed.
I was protected from being burned when a gasoline lamp burst into flames down the standard, because it had not been turned off tightly when last used. I had to carry this lamp across two rooms to reach the outdoors. As the ground was covered with dried leaves, no place seemed suitable on which to set the lamp, so I was obliged to hold it with my hand in the flame until the air evaporated the gasoline. I did this, closing my eyes and repeating over and over "the scientific statement of being" (Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, p. 468) until the flame was extinguished. No sign of burn was visible. The Bible tells us that God "doeth the works."
